A Holocaust Book Geared to Children

March 15th, 2012 by melissa g

Librarians, teachers, parents or anyone taking on the challenge of explaining the Holocaust to young people are sure to find Terezin: Voices From the Holocaust to be a useful teaching tool. It explains what life was like in a Jewish ghetto in Czechoslovakia in the early 1940’s. Using quotes and artwork from those who were there, the book gives a very personal account of this horrific period in history.  The organized layout, carefully chosen text and powerful images make it a good selection for 4th grade and up.  To see the full review, click to Sweet on Books or 7online.com where the review was featured this week.
