Bookstore Finds Success Inspite of Amazon

As big fans of brick & mortar, we’re especially happy to hear a story about a bookstore that concludes with a happy ending. According to Forbes, the Harvard Book Store is seeing signs of success under its new owner, Jeff Mayersohn. In fact, they’ve seen double digit sales growth month by month over last year. So, how’d he do it? Jeff installed the Espresso Book Machine in the middle of his bookstore. It’s a compact digital press that can print almost 5 million titles. You can’t tell the difference between an Espresso Book and one from the major publishing houses. I need to see that! And, if you can’t get to the store, you can order online, and the Harvard Book Store will deliver within the area by Metroped. It’s not just the Espresso machine that gives this bookstore an advantage, though. It’s also their exceptional customer service and their amazing public events. Every neighborhood needs a bookstore like this one!
