Children’s Book Week – VOTE NOW!

May 1st, 2013 by melissa y.

It’s that time again:  The Children’s Choice Book Awards are only 11 days away. So why not hop on over to their site and vote for your favorite children’s books – make your voice heard and have your kids do it, too!  Tell your child’s teacher, maybe they can even make it a classroom project.

Some of the book finalists include Pete the Cat, Bad Kitty, Dork Diaries, and Liar & Spy – to name just a few.  There are four categories of books to vote for (K-2, 3rd-4th, 5th-6th, and Teen).  There are also Author and Illustrator of the Year prizes.

The Author of the Year finalists include:  RJ Palacio (Wonder), Jeff Kinney (Diary of a Wimpy Kid), John Green (Fault in Our Stars), Rick Riordan (Mark of Athena), and Veronica Roth (Insurgent).

The Illustrator of the Year finalists include:  James Dean (Pete the Cat), Robin Preiss Glasser (Fancy Nancy), Mo Willems (Duckling Gets a Cookie!?), Ian Falconer (Olivia) and Ana Dewdney (Llama Llama Time to Share).

So, quick, cast your vote and be part of Children’s Book Week!
