Good Summer Book?

July 5th, 2011 by melissa y. I just finished John Grisham’s second book for kids, Theodore Boone:  The Abduction.  I started this book with great hopes it would be better than the first, and it was, a little.  This experiment into kidlit Grisham is conducting is interesting.  He is not nearly as good at it as Mr. Patterson – yet – but he is getting better.  You would think his writing would be great for reluctant readers.  It has such promise: boy protagonist, mystery, and Grisham’s reputation for fast paced thrillers.  Alas, Grisham blew it with the first Theodore Boone, but he is getting better with the second.  Check out my full review of this latest here and hope with me that the third Theo Boone nails it.
